This is a little taste of the brutal cold heading for us later in the week. We're hoping for a zero degree night. The coldest we've seen in nearly 10 years on the mountain is 5F.

The girls' "camp tree," a 20' pine tree in the front-yard finally succumbed to the ice and broke in half yesterday. Looking at the ice on every single needle, you can imagine the weight pulling it down.

We're thawing out.

The serviceberry bows under the weight of ice. We had treacherous weather overnight, but the roads were in decent shape for the commute.
